About the Owner
Albert Walker
Owner
Albert Walker is a knowledgeable, hands-on owner who takes pride in his workmanship. He worked for a roofing company while in high school, before heading to George Brown College where he completed the Construction Engineering program.
Upon graduation from George Brown, Albert worked in project management for several large commercial roofing companies.
In 2012, Albert turned his attention to residential roofing and started his own company, Nivek Contracting Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc.
Nivek’s focus is complete customer satisfaction while providing the highest quality in roofing.
Nivek – The Story Behind the Name
Nivek is Kevin spelled backward and is a tribute to a good friend of Albert. Kevin had a great sense of humour and was generous of heart, the type who would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. His desire to help others lead him to become a proud member of Edmonton-based 1st Battalion of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. Sadly, Kevin lost his life in the line of duty while deployed in Afghanistan in 2010. His memory lives on in the hearts and minds of his many friends and family left behind, and in Albert’s company name.
